Emphasis when competing is on self improvement. All times are recorded with incentive prizes given for achieving personal best times. These incentive prizes allow swimmers to reap the benefits of training.
For your first swim in an event you will establish a time. With every subsequent swim, swimmers will try to better this time and set a new personal best (PB). For each new PB achieved you will receive a 'Personal Best' Ribbon.
'Great Effort' Ribbons are presented at club nights for first swims.
Personal Best (PB) Cups are presented for every 10 PB's swum over the season.
Aquastrike saches are presented when swimmers complete all strokes over all distances, i.e. 25m, 50m, 100m in all four strokes as well as the 100m Medley and 200m Freestyle = a total of fourteen swims.
Super Aquastrike is the next goal once completing your Aquastrike award. To achieve this award, thirteen PB's from the available fourteen Aquajet swims need to be swum. This award can be achieved repeatedly!
Club nights are held approximately once a month.
Club nights give swimmers their first opportunity to compete in a relaxed environment.
